Ways to Use Love Magic

  1. 1
Honey jar spell Create a honey jar spell by jotting down your love interest’s name on a piece of paper 3 times. Then, write out the type of relationship you’d like to have with this person, like “I would like to start dating and have a long-term relationship with __.” Fold up the note 3 times exactly and tuck it into a brand-new jar of honey. At this point, prepare a cup of tea for yourself, mixing in 1 US tbsp (15 mL) of honey. To complete the honey jar spell, say “As I drink this tea, you’ll become delicious to me.”[15]
  2. 2
Love potion tea Make your own tea blend using dried rose petals, white peony tea leaves, pink peppercorns, cardamom pods, marshmallow root, and rosehips. Let the tea steep in a mug of hot water for 4-6 minutes. As you sip your tea, perform a love-inspired ritual, like manifesting love with rose quartz.[16]
    • You could also repeat affirmations and use visualization techniques to help attract love into your life.
  3. 3
Self-Love potion Take a large spoonful (around 1 tbsp) of both dried rose petals and dried hibiscus petals and let them steep for around 10 minutes in a covered mug filled with 1  c (240 mL) of hot water. Then, stir in 1 US tbsp (15 mL) of coconut butter, 12  tsp (2.5 mL) of vanilla extract, 12  tsp (2.5 mL) of honey, ½ tsp (1.4 g) of cinnamon, and ⅛ tsp (0.25 g) of cardamom. As you enjoy your potion, get comfy in front of a mirror while drafting a kind, love-filled note to yourself.[17]
  4. 4
Love oil Smudge a clean jar with sage; then, fill the jar with dried hibiscus, rosemary, dried rose petals, entire cloves, dried rose petals, and a cinnamon stick. As you add each ingredient to the container, repeat an affirmation like “I deserve love” or “I am loved.” Once the jar is filled, pour olive oil on top, seal the container, and give it a good shake to mix everything. Wait at least 2 weeks before using the oil—you might sprinkle a few drops into your bath, or incorporate it in your candle magic.[18]
    • It can help to offer a message of thanks as you finish combining the herbs with the oil.
    • As the herbs infuse, give the jar another good shake and meditate on feelings of self-love.
    • This jar can be as large or as small as you want. The amount of ingredients you use will ultimately depend on the size of your container.
  5. 5
Love bath Fill up a big pot with around 12 US gal (1.9 L) of water and fill it with the herbs and plants of your choice. Let them steep for around 10-15 minutes. Then, set up and light a white candle in the bathroom while pouring warm water into the tub. At this point, strain the herbs out of your water and carefully pour it over yourself, all while you think or speak aloud your love-related petitions. Take some time to relax in the warm water, requesting that the Universe uses this bath to cleanse you on your journey of finding attraction and love.[19]
    • Make sure the herbal water has cooled down to a comfortable temperature before using it in your spiritual bath.
    • Hop in the shower beforehand—this type of bath is meant to help you cleanse yourself spiritually rather than physically.
